Evernote has launched its most significant update since 2020, integrating a suite of artificial intelligence features developed in collaboration with OpenAI, enhancing how users create, organize, and interact with their notes.
A central component is the new AI Assistant, which utilizes large language models through a dedicated chat interface. Users can employ the assistant to search, organize, and enrich notes, as well as generate new content and add tags. The update also introduces Semantic Search, an AI-driven function designed to help users locate related notes and quickly display the most relevant content, improving retrieval efficiency.
For professional and collaborative settings, the AI Meeting Notes feature can generate instant summaries and transcripts of conversations. This builds upon earlier AI capabilities, alongside the new AI Edit feature. Currently in beta for Desktop and Web users, AI Edit allows for writing, summarizing, and translating text into 15 languages. It can also correct spelling and grammar and add introductions or conclusions to notes. Evernote is consistently refining this feature based on user feedback.
The collection of AI enhancements represents the company’s strategy to remain competitive by embedding advanced technology. The stated goal is to provide users with a more intelligent and efficient tool that saves time and assists with a wide range of organizational tasks.
