Xiaomi is set to launch its highly anticipated Xiaomi Pad 8 series alongside the Xiaomi 17 series later this month, with a teaser poster revealing key features of the upcoming tablet.
Company executive Lu Weibing shared the teaser poster on Weibo, showcasing the Pad 8’s design, which includes a detachable keyboard and stylus, echoing the familiar design seen in previous models. The poster highlights the device’s 11.2-inch display while emphasizing its lightweight and portable form factor, suggesting a premium user experience.
The Xiaomi Pad 8 is expected to be powered by a high-performance system-on-chip (SoC) and will run on HyperOS 3, built on Android 16. According to the details corroborating earlier leaks, the Pad 8 will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with 16 GB of RAM. This represents a significant upgrade from the previous year’s model, which used the lower-tier Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, underscoring Xiaomi’s focus on delivering enhanced performance for multitasking and productivity.
Rumors suggest there will be subtle differences between the standard and Pro variants of the Pad 8 series, primarily in terms of charging capabilities. The Pro model is expected to support 67W fast charging, while the base version will offer 45W charging. Both models are backed by a robust 10,000 mAh battery, promising extended usage and catering to users seeking a reliable tablet for prolonged tasks.
With these specifications, the Xiaomi Pad 8 series is poised to compete in the mid-to-high-end tablet market by blending portability with advanced features. Official details are expected to be released soon following the teaser, further clarifying the features and capabilities of the upcoming devices.
