Google Calendar is a versatile app for managing schedules on your Android device, but sharing an entire calendar requires a workaround since the mobile app doesn’t support it directly. This guide will help you share a Google Calendar or event on Android by using the Chrome browser in desktop mode for calendars and the app for events, ensuring your contacts stay updated effortlessly.

Before you start, ensure you have the Google Chrome browser and Google Calendar app installed on your Android device, and that you’re signed in to your Google account with the calendars you want to share.

To share either a full calendar or a specific event with others on your Android device, follow these methods.

To share a calendar using Chrome, open the Chrome browser on your Android device. Navigate to Google Calendar and sign in if prompted. Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) at the top right of Chrome. Select Desktop site from the menu; the page will reload in desktop view. Tap the calendar you want to share in the side panel. Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the calendar name. Select Settings and sharing from the options. Under Share with specific people or groups, tap + Add people and groups. Enter the email addresses or contact names of the people or groups, set their permissions if needed, then tap Send.

Alternatively, to share a new or existing event, open the Google Calendar app on your device. Tap the empty box for the desired date and time to create a new event, or tap an existing event to edit it. Fill in the event details, such as name, location, and description. Tap Add people, then enter the email addresses of the invitees. Tap Add or Done to send the invitation.

Recipients will receive an email with a link to add the shared calendar or event; tapping Add this calendar and confirming Yes in the pop-up will include it under their My calendars list in Google Calendar.

For multiple calendars, refer to this wikiHow article to sync them efficiently, or sync your Google Calendar with Outlook using this guide for better cross-platform integration.

Sharing calendars and events on Android keeps everyone aligned, whether for work projects, family plans, or social gatherings, reducing miscommunications and saving time. By using these simple methods, you empower collaborators to view updates in real-time without constant manual reminders.

This approach not only enhances productivity but also builds better organization habits across devices. Ultimately, it transforms Google Calendar from a personal tool into a shared hub that fosters seamless coordination and ensures no important date is missed.
