PlayStation Plus Loses Four Games on October 21

PlayStation Plus subscribers are set for another catalogue refresh next month, with four games scheduled to depart on October 21, as part of the service’s dynamic rotation of content.

The exiting titles include Battlefield 1 for PS4, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed for PS4 and PS5, Tour de France 2023 for PS4 and PS5, and The Last Clockwinder for PSVR2. The removal of Battlefield 1, a nearly nine-year-old title, is partially offset by the upcoming release of Battlefield 6 on October 10, which has confirmed console-only cross-play. Fans eager to continue playing Battlefield 1 can purchase it affordably outside the subscription service.

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed offers an asymmetrical multiplayer experience simulating life as a Ghostbuster. Although it received mixed reviews upon launch, the game has since garnered positive feedback from players. The departure of The Last Clockwinder represents yet another challenge for Sony’s struggling PSVR2 platform, highlighting ongoing difficulties in VR adoption.
