Leaked renders and specifications have revealed details about Motorola’s upcoming Moto G 2026 and Moto G Play 2026, devices targeting the North American market.
The Moto G 2026 is designed as a successor to the Moto G (2025), launched in January. Both models feature a design reminiscent of earlier Motorola phones, characterized by a bottom chin and the absence of a notch. The Moto G 2026 is reported to feature a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,000-nit peak brightness, protected by Gorilla Glass 3. It will sport a 50MP main camera accompanied by a Macro Vision camera, along with a 32MP selfie camera.
Powering the device is a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The phone will also include a 5,200mAh battery supporting 30W wired charging. Compared to its predecessor, the Moto G 2026 offers minor upgrades, including a higher-resolution selfie camera and a slightly larger battery.
The Moto G Play 2026, while sharing the same hardware design, will feature downgraded specifications such as 64GB of storage, a 32MP rear camera, an 8MP selfie camera, and 18W wired charging. Both the Moto G 2026 and Moto G Play 2026 are expected to ship with Android 16.
The color options showcased include Pantone Cattleya Orchid for the Moto G 2026 and Pantone Tapestry for the Moto G Play 2026, highlighting Motorola’s continued collaboration with Pantone. While the exact launch date remains unclear, speculations point to a release no later than January, with the possibility of an earlier launch.
