Apple Unveils $99 MagSafe Battery for iPhone Air

Apple has introduced a new MagSafe Battery, priced at $99, specifically designed for the iPhone Air, highlighting the company’s focus on tailored accessories for its latest device.

The “iPhone Air MagSafe Battery was created exclusively for iPhone Air,” according to the product page, with compatibility limited solely to that model. Apple explicitly states that the battery is not compatible with the iPhone 17 or iPhone 17 Pro, indicating a deliberate design choice.

A store image showing the tall battery pack attached to an iPhone Air, alongside an iPhone 17 Pro and an iPhone 17, suggests that the battery’s design would interfere with the camera modules on other iPhone models, providing a visual explanation for the compatibility restriction.
