Samsung has released a software update for its latest foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, initially available in South Korea, bringing the September 2025 security patch and new features.
The update, identified by firmware versions F766NKSU4AYI1 for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and F966NKSU4AYI1 for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, includes several enhancements. Notably, it introduces Google Finance integration to the Now Bar, allowing users to track significant stock changes at the end of the trading day if they have stocks tracked in Google Finance.
Additionally, the update enhances Samsung DeX by enabling users to add widgets to the home screen, thereby increasing customization and accessibility within the DeX environment. This feature is expected to improve the overall user experience for those utilizing Samsung DeX.
Although the update is currently limited to South Korea, there is a possibility that Samsung will extend the rollout to other markets in the future. Users can manually check for the update by navigating to Settings and then Software Update on their devices, ensuring they stay up-to-date with the latest software.
The update was initially spotted by @tarunvats33, highlighting its initial limited release. While the specific timeline for a broader release remains unknown, Samsung typically rolls out significant updates to a wider audience over time.
