Xiaomi is set to unveil its new flagship lineup, the Xiaomi 16 series, before the end of the month, comprising the Xiaomi 16, Xiaomi 16 Pro, and Xiaomi 16 Pro Max, all powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship SoC.
The Xiaomi 16 series is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship SoC, speculated to be named Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 or Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. According to a leak from Ice Universe, a full-frontal image of one of the devices has surfaced, showcasing Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3, which the Xiaomi 16 series will run on.
The leaked phone is rumored to feature the narrowest symmetrical bezels and the most curved screen corners ever seen on a mobile phone, surpassing even the anticipated iPhone 17 Pro in corner roundness. While the specific model in the image remains undisclosed, the leak suggests a significant design overhaul for Xiaomi’s flagship devices.
The structure of Xiaomi’s flagship lineup mirrors that of other major manufacturers like Google, Apple, and vivo. The Xiaomi 16 and 16 Pro are expected to share a similar smaller size, with the Pro variant offering enhanced specifications. The Pro Max model will essentially be a larger version of the Pro. This approach allows Xiaomi to compete in the ‘smaller-screen phone but with top specs’ market segment.
