Samsung Electronics is set to revolutionize its operations by integrating artificial intelligence into over 90% of its activities by 2030, as announced by Roh Tae-moon, the acting head of the Device Experience division.
Speaking at a press conference at IFA 2025 in Berlin, Roh emphasized that AI will support Samsung’s workforce rather than replace it. This initiative underscores the company’s commitment to leveraging AI to enhance its operational capabilities. The Device Experience division, which encompasses a wide range of products including TVs, washers, refrigerators, and other home appliances, is slated to be a primary area for AI implementation.
Samsung anticipates embedding AI features in more than 400 million Galaxy devices by the end of 2025, signaling a significant expansion of AI-driven functionalities in its product lineup. The company plans to introduce personalized AI functions for home electronics that will go beyond existing capabilities, thereby enhancing user experience and product utility.
While Roh outlined the broad strategy for Samsung’s AI integration, specific AI technologies and detailed timelines for these initiatives were not disclosed. The overarching goal is for Samsung to become an AI-powered company, thereby enhancing its product offerings and operational efficiency. By achieving this goal, Samsung aims to solidify its position in the technology market and drive innovation across its product and service portfolio.
