Hollow Knight: Silksong is expected to retail for under $20/£20/€20, following a now-deleted GameStop listing and corroboration by Dealabs leaker Billbil-Kun, sparking interest among gamers about the upcoming release.
According to Billbil-Kun’s report, specific pricing for Steam and GOG platforms across various regions has been revealed. The UK Steam price is reportedly £16.75. In Europe, the Steam price is €19.50, while GOG lists it at €8.29. In the United States, both Steam and GOG platforms have listed the game at $19.99. For Canada, the prices are $25.99 on Steam and $27.19 on GOG. Australian gamers will see prices of $29.50 on Steam and $30.19 on GOG. New Zealand’s Steam price is listed as $28.99, and in Japan, the GOG price is ¥2939.
Pricing for console versions, including the highly anticipated release on the Nintendo Switch, remains unknown at this time. Additionally, Dealabs suggests that there are currently no plans for a physical release of Hollow Knight: Silksong, which may impact retailers and collector’s edition enthusiasts.
Hollow Knight: Silksong is slated for release on September 4th, 2025, on multiple platforms including PC, Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series. Team Cherry, the game’s developer, previously stated that the extended development time was due to the team “having too much fun making it,” indicating a deep commitment to quality and player experience.
The recent announcement of the release date, coming relatively close to the launch, has reportedly placed other games with early September release dates in a challenging position, potentially affecting their marketing strategies and sales projections.
