Huawei is set to unveil its first Mate TV on September 4th, a product that has been generating buzz since its initial announcement at a smart screen conference weeks prior.
The company has released a teaser image confirming the launch date, further fueling anticipation for the event. According to Huawei, September 4th is expected to be “a really amazing day” as the company debuts not only the Mate TV but also several other new products, including the Mate XTs tri-fold phone, MatePad Mini, and FreeBuds 7i.
Huawei’s official statement regarding the launch reads: “Big Mate, big difference, first #HuaweiSmartScreenMateTV# Peaks set sail. At 14:30 on September 4th, Huawei’s largest Mate in history, so stay tuned!” The launch event is scheduled for 14:30 on September 4th, marking a significant moment for Huawei’s smart TV lineup.
The introduction of the Mate TV represents the first instance of Huawei extending its “Mate” branding to its smart TV offerings. Previously, the “Mate” branding has been associated with Huawei’s smartphones, foldable phones, tablets, and PCs. Prior to the official launch, Huawei initiated the Mate TV Pioneer Program, allowing users to experience the new device before it goes on sale.
