Sony has simplified the PlayStation Store refund process, allowing users to request refunds directly through the PlayStation website or mobile app without interacting with a support chatbot.
To initiate a refund, users can access their transaction history by selecting the three dots in the top right corner of the PlayStation Store. From there, they can choose the relevant purchase and submit a refund request. This new process eliminates the need to navigate a chatbot, which previously added friction to the experience.
The standard refund requirements remain unchanged, with requests required to be made within 14 days of purchase, and the product must not have been downloaded or played. However, these conditions can be waived if the product is faulty.
This update is part of a broader effort to improve the PS Plus store, with other recent enhancements including the addition of accessibility options and support for Apple Pay.
