PlayStation has started taking preorders for a replica of Ellie’s guitar from The Last of Us Part II, a collaboration with Taylor Guitars, set to be released on November 18, 2025.
The guitar, a special edition of the Taylor 314ce, features Joel’s custom moth inlay fretboard, a design prominently featured in both the game and the HBO series adaptation. Priced at $2,999.99, it is available for preorder through the PlayStation Store, listed alongside consoles and other gaming accessories.
The replica’s design includes a rich tobacco sunburst top in Sitka spruce, mirroring the instrument’s appearance in The Last of Us Part II. While the price may seem steep, the standard Taylor 314ce typically retails for around $2,499 without the Last of Us customizations.
Taylor Guitars is also offering a slightly less expensive version, the Taylor 314c, on its website for $2,799, excluding bundled accessories. This move adds to the existing collection of merchandise inspired by Naughty Dog’s popular franchise.
However, the future of The Last of Us series remains uncertain. According to creator Neil Druckmann, The Last of Us Part 3 is unlikely to be made. Druckmann stated in an interview, “don’t bet on there being more of ‘Last of Us.’ This could be it.”
Despite uncertainty surrounding the game series, fans can anticipate the arrival of Season 3 of The Last of Us HBO series in 2027. HBO CEO Casey Bloys has indicated that this season is planned and could potentially be the final installment of the show.
