Withings’ new BPM Vision, an FDA-cleared blood pressure monitor, launched Wednesday, offering medical-grade accuracy from the comfort of home. Priced at $150 on Withings’ website, the device aims to improve accessibility to hypertension monitoring.

BPM Vision is designed to provide clinical-grade results with user-friendly instructions. Following doctor’s recommendations, it takes three measurements to ensure accuracy and presents them on a high-resolution, color-coded display.

The device automatically syncs readings to the Withings app, where users can track their health data and share it with their doctors. The app and device can store data for up to eight users.

High blood pressure, a significant contributor to heart disease and stroke, was a primary or contributing cause of over 680,000 US deaths in 2022, according to the CDC. Half of all US adults have high blood pressure.

A concerning knowledge gap exists: A 2023 study revealed that while 64% of participants felt confident in their understanding of blood pressure ranges, only 39% actually knew what constituted a normal and healthy range.

“By guiding users through proper measurement techniques and providing instant, easy-to-read results, BPM Vision encourages more consistent tracking — leading to better insights and improved heart health over time,” said Eric Carreel, founder and president of Withings.

BPM Vision is currently available on Withings’ website. It will also be available on Amazon and at other retailers in May.
