Google is launching “Flight Deals,” a new AI-powered travel search tool designed for budget-conscious and flexible travelers, marking a significant expansion of its AI integration in travel planning.
This innovative tool is set to roll out in beta over the next week in the US, Canada, and India, and will be accessible within Google Flights. Flight Deals allows users to articulate their travel intentions using natural language prompts, deviating from the traditional manual date and destination selections. By leveraging real-time Google Flights data, it identifies the most current deals from various airlines and booking operators, taking into account any additional information provided by the user.
According to Google, Flight Deals is launching in beta to gather user feedback, which will be instrumental in enhancing its capabilities. The company has already announced plans for a future update, which will include an option to exclude basic economy fares for users in the US and Canada. Travelers will be able to access Flight Deals either through a dedicated webpage or via the top-left drop-down menu on Google Flights, making it easily accessible to those looking to make the most of their travel budget.
