OnePlus is reportedly working on a compact tablet powered by a flagship chipset, as revealed by Chinese rumor source Digital Chat Station. This development is significant as it indicates OnePlus’s expanding product lineup.
The upcoming tablet is expected to be equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 SoC, which is anticipated to be announced in September. This chipset is likely to bring substantial performance upgrades, making the tablet a formidable device in its category.
The launch of the OnePlus tablet is slated for the first half of next year, aligning with the release of the OnePlus 15T, a smartphone featuring a 6.3-inch screen that succeeds the OnePlus 13T. Notably, Oppo, the sister brand of OnePlus, is also expected to release its own version of the same tablet, following a common practice between the two companies where they share tablet offerings with minor branding differences.
Both the OnePlus and Oppo versions of the tablet are projected to come with an 8.8-inch screen, indicating a compact yet potentially powerful device. This shared approach allows both brands to leverage the same hardware, optimizing production and potentially offering consumers more choices within the same device category.
