Gmail has launched a new “manage subscriptions” feature to help users combat email spam by consolidating subscription-based emails into a single, organized view, simplifying the process of identifying and unsubscribing from unwanted emails.
The “manage subscriptions” view arranges emails by frequency, with the most active subscription lists appearing at the top, and each subscription displays a number indicating the volume of emails received from that sender. Users can tap on a sender to view all their emails or utilize a one-click unsubscribe button to remove themselves from mailing lists.
This update follows Google’s broader AI overhaul and is comparable to Apple Mail’s streamlined look introduced in iOS 18 in 2024, which also included automatic sorting of promotional emails.
The “manage subscriptions” feature is currently available on web, Android, and iOS devices in select countries. Users can access it by navigating to the top-left corner of the app, scrolling down the menu, and selecting “manage subscriptions.”
