This ambitious roadmap, alongside major software enhancements like iOS 26, signals a particularly active period for the tech giant, promising substantial upgrades across its core product lines.
Leading the charge is the much-anticipated iPhone 17 family, poised to generate considerable excitement after several years of more incremental updates. The traditional ‘Plus’ model is reportedly being phased out, making way for an all-new iPhone Air. Speculation also suggests a potential rebranding of the Pro Max variant to the iPhone Ultra, signifying a top-tier offering. The standard iPhone 17 is expected to feature a larger display and an improved selfie camera, among other enhancements. The iPhone 17 Air is rumored to boast a radically thin, futuristic design, though this sleek profile might necessitate certain compromises. For professional users, the iPhone 17 Pro is set to receive an upgraded camera system, increased memory, and the powerful new A19 Pro chip. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is anticipated to be physically thicker, designed to accommodate an even larger battery, offering unprecedented endurance.
Beyond mobile, Apple’s Mac and iPad lines are also in line for significant refreshes, including the debut of devices powered by the next-generation M5 chip. While several new iPads and Macs have already launched this year, more are on the horizon. The M5 MacBook Pro is expected to retain its familiar design but will be configurable with M5, M5 Pro, and M5 Max chip variants, promising substantial performance gains.
