Solos has unveiled two new smart glasses, the AirGo A5 and AirGo V2, at the Smart Glasses Summit in Hong Kong, marking a significant step in making AI-powered eyewear a practical, everyday accessory.

The AirGo A5 is designed to closely resemble traditional eyeglasses, with a focus on an enhanced audio experience and intuitive voice controls. It integrates sophisticated AI capabilities discreetly, ensuring a natural user interaction through the “Hey Solos” wake word, which enables seamless, hands-free activation of its intelligent functions. The A5 boasts significantly improved audio quality, particularly in high-noise environments, and features directional audio technology that funnels sound directly to the user, enhancing privacy. Notably, the AirGo A5 is compatible with previous AirGo 3 frames, allowing existing Solos users to upgrade seamlessly without needing entirely new eyewear. The AirGo A5 is set for presale in August at a competitive price of $249.

The AirGo V2 introduces a high-resolution 16-megapixel camera with electronic image stabilization (EIS), ensuring stable and clear video capture. A key feature of the V2 is its live video streaming capability via low-power Wi-Fi, allowing users to stream content directly without relying on a smartphone. The V2 also supports advanced AI interaction with multiple popular chatbots, including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and DeepSeek, offering users flexibility in accessing various AI models. The AirGo V2 is expected to launch in the fourth quarter at $299.

Both models incorporate the “SolosChat 3.0” platform, which represents a paradigm shift in AI interaction by integrating audio, video, and text inputs to provide more relevant and nuanced responses. The design of both models emphasizes user convenience and longevity, with features like swappable batteries and adjustable nose pads. Solos is also opening its platform to external developers to foster innovation and broaden the utility of its smart glasses.

The introduction of the AirGo A5 and AirGo V2 marks a significant milestone for Solos in making smart eyewear a desirable daily accessory. With the A5 focusing on discreet audio and AI integration and the V2 pushing boundaries with advanced camera technology, Solos is poised to capture a substantial segment of the smart wearable market. Both models will be available for purchase directly through Solos’ official website, with the AirGo A5 available for presale in August and the AirGo V2 following in Q4.
