Xiaomi is expanding its tablet portfolio with the new Pad 7S Pro, which has recently appeared in the Geekbench database, confirming its development and revealing key specifications, including the self-developed Xring O1 chipset.
The Geekbench listing for the Xiaomi device, identified by the model number 25053RP5CC, shows a tablet with 16GB of RAM and running on Android 15. The benchmark results show impressive performance metrics, with a single-core score of 2631 and a multi-core score of 8449, attributed to the powerful 10-core Xring O1 processor.
This custom chipset debuted last month in the flagship Xiaomi 15S Pro smartphone and the premium Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra tablet, signaling a deepening of Xiaomi’s strategic pivot towards proprietary silicon. Industry analysts are drawing parallels between the upcoming Pad 7S Pro and the existing Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro, speculating that the new device will be a version of the Snapdragon-powered Pad 7 Pro, upgraded with the Xring O1 silicon.
If this pattern holds, the Pad 7S Pro is expected to retain most of the Pad 7 Pro’s specifications, potentially with a slightly larger 12.5-inch screen, compared to the 11.2-inch display of the standard Pro model. The larger Pad 7 Ultra boasts a 14-inch screen. Consumers can expect a high-resolution display with a 2136×3200 pixel count and a 144Hz refresh rate, along with a peak brightness of 800 nits.
The camera system is likely to be robust, featuring a 50MP main rear camera and a 2MP depth sensor, complemented by a 32MP front-facing camera. The device is expected to be powered by a substantial 8,850 mAh battery.
