Huawei has officially unveiled the design of the Pura 80 Pro+, one of its upcoming flagship smartphones, just days before the anticipated launch event on June 11.
Previously, an accidental official glimpse of a Pura 80 phone’s camera module appeared during the MAEXTRO S800 launch event, providing an early peek at the device’s aesthetic. Today, Huawei took to Weibo to officially tease the Pura 80 Pro+ handset, offering a clearer view of its rear design.
While the full device remains under wraps, the teaser highlights a striking new color option and a prominent, stylish camera bump on the back. Accompanying the teaser image, the company’s message stated, “The textured glaze is natural, and the light and shadow are heart-moving! On June 11th at 14:30, the Huawei Pura 80 series and full-scenario new product launch conference will be held, so stay tuned! #HarmonyOS5”.
The image suggests that the Pura 80 Pro+ will feature a ceramic cover panel, contributing to a premium feel. The camera module itself sports a glossy finish with a gradient effect. The camera setup is configured in a triangular format, featuring three distinct lens rings.
The two rings positioned at the corners appear to house single sensors, while the central ring is notable for containing two lenses. The entire lens plate area is detailed with fine, grille-like lines, contrasting with the otherwise plain back cover of the phone. The Pura 80 Pro+ is showcased in a new, dazzling red color, paired with the signature camera arrangement.
Interestingly, the placement of the XMAGE branding and the LED Flash pill remains consistent with their positions on the previous Pura 70 Pro+ model. With the June 11 launch conference fast approaching, Huawei is beginning to build anticipation by revealing attractive design elements and hinting at advanced features for the upcoming flagship lineup.
Further details regarding the Pura 80 series are expected to be revealed at the official launch event.
