OpenAI has introduced a new “library” feature to the ChatGPT website and app, simplifying access and management of AI-generated images for users.

The new library feature organizes all AI-generated images into a grid view, accessible from the ChatGPT sidebar, serving as a visual log of every image created unless the user has cleared their history. Users can scroll through the images and select any one to access additional tools such as edit, save, and share. This update enhances the overall user experience by providing a centralized location for managing AI-generated content.

The library screen includes a button to start generating new images with one tap, loading the traditional prompt screen for users to enter a new image description. This streamlined process facilitates the creation of new images and allows users to continue their creative work seamlessly.

The image library is available to all ChatGPT users, regardless of their subscription type, including Free, Plus, or Pro, and comes at no extra cost. Users can immediately start using the feature, with mobile users requiring the latest version of the ChatGPT app to access it.

To access the library, users can follow simple steps: open the ChatGPT app or website, locate the new Library section in the sidebar, and select it to view a grid of their AI-generated images. Selecting an image displays additional tools like Editing, Save, and Share. A button on the library screen enables users to create a new image instantly, making it easy to start another creative session.

This new library feature is particularly beneficial for frequent users of ChatGPT’s image generation capabilities, as it allows them to track their creations in one dedicated space, making it easier to find specific images later.
