Vampire Survivors Rolls Out Cross-Save Functionality

Vampire Survivors is now offering cross-save functionality, enabling players to share their progress across Android, iOS, PC, and Xbox, with support for Nintendo Switch to be added later.

The game’s developer, Poncle, announced that cross-saves are available on multiple platforms, excluding PlayStation due to a “legal issue.” According to Poncle’s Steam post, they had initially planned to introduce cross-save on PlayStation 4 and 5, alongside other platforms, with their next free update in April. However, a last-minute legal issue arose on PlayStation, related to sharing information about their partners, which Poncle was unable to comply with.

Poncle stated, “The chances of Cross-Save coming to PlayStation consoles are now very slim, but not impossible, so we’re going to keep working alongside PlayStation to resolve these problems.” Neither Poncle nor PlayStation immediately responded to requests for comment. As a result, cross-saves are currently available on Android, iOS, PC, and Xbox, with Nintendo Switch support planned for a later date.

Poncle also expressed interest in bringing cross-saves to the Apple Arcade version of Vampire Survivors, but only “if we can do so without breaching any privacy commitments.” To utilize cross-saves, players must manually save and load their data across platforms, as the feature doesn’t automatically sync. A guide on enabling cross-saves is available from Poncle.

In conjunction with the cross-save functionality, Poncle released a free Vampire Survivors DLC expansion called “Emerald Diorama,” based on Square Enix’s SaGa franchise, and a chicken-themed update titled “The Coop.” These updates coincide with the launch of cross-save across the supported platforms.
